Hickman died November 14, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered after encountering an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.


Army 1st Lt. Dustin D. Vincent, 25, of Mesquite, Texas

Vincent died November 3, 2011 in Kirkuk province, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.


Army Sgt. 1st Class David G. Robinson, 28, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois

Robinson died October 25, 2011 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

He was assigned to the U.S. Army Support Activity, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


Army Capt. Shawn Patrick T. Charles, 40, of Hickory, North Carolina

Charles died October 23, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas, from a non-combat illness.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Pfc. Steven Francis Shapiro, 29, of Hidden Valley Lake, California

Shapiro died October 21, 2011 in Tallil, Iraq.

He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Staff Sgt. James R. Leep Jr., 44, of Richmond, Virginia

Leep died October 17, 2011 in Babil province, Iraq.

He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 183rd Cavalry Regiment, 116th Brigade Combat Team, Portsmouth, Virginia.


Army Chief Warrant Officer James B. Wilke, 38, of Ione, California

Wilke died October 10, 2011 in Doha, Qatar.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 43rd Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command, Fort Bliss, Texas.


Army Spc. Adrian G. Mills, 23, of Newnan, Georgia

Mills died September 29, 2011 in Kirkuk, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his unit was attacked by insurgents using indirect fire.

He was assigned to the 272nd Military Police Company, 519th Military Police Battalion, Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Morales died September 22, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq.

He was assigned to the 143rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Orlando, Florida.


Army Staff Sgt. Estevan Altamirano, 30, of Edcouch, Texas

Altamirano died September 18, 2011 in Tikrit, Iraq, of injuries suffered in a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.


Navy Cmdr. James K. Crawford, 50, of East Concord, New York

Crawford died September 7, 2011 as a result of a non-combat related incident in Manama, Bahrain.

He was assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, supporting operations at the Combined Maritime Forces Coalition Coordination Center at Naval Support Activity, Bahrain.


Army Sgt. Mark A. Cofield, 25, of Colorado Springs, Colorado

Cofield died July 17, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.


Army Spc. Daniel Lucas Elliott, 21, of Youngsville, North Carolina

Elliott died July 15, 2011 in Basra, Iraq, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 290th Military Police Brigade, 200th Military Police Command, Cary, North Carolina.


Army Sgt. Steven Luna Talamantez, 34, of Laredo, Texas

Talamantez died July 10, 2011 in Al Amarah, Iraq, of injuries suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with indirect fire.

He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Beyers died July 7, in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his convoy using an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to 145th Brigade Support Battalion, 116th Cavalry Heavy Brigade Combat Team, Post Falls, Idaho.

Newby died July 7, in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his convoy using an improvised explosive device.

Cintron died June 16, 2011 at a medical facility in Boston, Massachusetts, of wounds suffered June 6, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq, when insurgents attacked his unit with indirect fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Friese died April 29, 2011 in Al Qadisiyah province, Iraq, of injuries sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with a rocket propelled grenade.

Army Spc. Andrew E. Lara, 25, of Albany, Oregon

Lara died April 27, 2011, of a noncombat related incident, in Babil province, Iraq.

He was assigned to F Company, 145th Brigade Support Battalion, attached to the 3rd Battalion, 116th Cavalry Regiment.


Army 1st Lt. Omar J. Vazquez, 25, of Hamilton, New Jersey

Vazquez died of wounds suffered April 22, 2011 in Numaniyah, Iraq when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Pfc. Antonio G. Stiggins, 25, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Stiggins died of wounds suffered April 22, 2011 in Numaniyah, Iraq when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.


Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Micah Aaron Hill, 27, of Ralston, Nebraska

Hill died April 19, 2011 as a result of a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the USS Enterprise as a machinist's mate, the Enterprise is currently deployed to the 5th fleet area of responsibility conducting operations in support of Operation New Dawn.


Army Sgt. Vorasack Thomas Xaysana, 30, of Westminster, Colorado

Xaysana died April 10, 2011 in Kirkuk, Iraq, of injuries sustained April 9, 2011 in a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Staff Sgt. Quadi S. Hudgins, 26, of New Orleans, Louisiana

Hudgins died April 2, 2011 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his position with indirect fire in Babil, Iraq.

He was assigned to the Maintenance Troop, Regimental Support Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Sgt. Christian A. S. Garcia, 30, of Goodyear, Arizona

Garcia died April 2, 2011 of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his position with indirect fire in Babil, Iraq.

He was assigned to the Maintenance Troop, Regimental Support Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Spc. Gary Lee Nelson III, 20, of Woodstock, Georgia

Nelson died April 5, 2011 in Mosul, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Third Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.


Army Capt. Wesley James Hinkley, 36, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Hinkley died April 4, 2011 in Baghdad, Iraq, as a result of a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 3rd Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, Fort Stewart, Georgia.


Army Sgt. Jorge Antonio Scatliffe, 32, of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands

Scatliffe died April 3, 2011 in a non-combat related incident at Mosul, Iraq.

He was assigned to the 27th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Cpl. Brandon S. Hocking, 24, of Seattle, Washington

Hocking died March 21, 2011 in As Samawah, Iraq, when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

He was assigned to the 87th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia.


Air Force Senior Airman Michael John Hinkle II, 24, of Corona, California

Hinkle died March 16, 2011 due to a non-combat related incident in Southwest Asia.

He was assigned to the 28th Communications Squadron, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.


Air Force Airman 1st Class Christoffer P. Johnson, 20, of Clarksville, Tennessee

Johnson died February 17, 2011 due to a non-combat related incident in Southwest Asia.

He was assigned to the 423rd Security Forces Squadron, Royal Air Force Alconbury, England.


Air Force Airman 1st Class Corey C. Owens, 26, of San Antonio, Texas

Owens died February 17, 2011 due to a non-combat related incident at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq.

He was assigned to the 47th Security Forces Squadron, Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas.


Army Spc. Lashawn D. Evans, 24, of Columbia, South Carolina

Evans died February 15, 2011 in Baghdad province, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas.

Evarts died January 17, 2011 in Tikrit, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 256th Combat Support Hospital, Twinsburg, Ohio.


Army Sgt. Michael P. Bartley, 23, of Barnhill, Illinois

Bartley died January 15, 2011 in Mosul, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an Iraqi soldier from the unit with which he was training shot him with small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.


Army Spc. Martin J. Lamar, 43, of Sacramento, California

Lamar died January 15, 2011 in Mosul, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an Iraqi soldier from the unit with which he was training shot him with small arms fire.

He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Rosado died January 2, 2011 in Taji, Iraq, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.

Burner died September 16, 2010 in Iskandariya, Iraq, in a non-combat related incident.

He was assigned to the 63rd Signal Battalion (Expeditionary), 35th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, Georgia.
